I never liked going to the dentist- who does? ..But I never though I would enjoy it! I had an old filling replaced and a crown put on another tooth. It was totally painless...didn't even feel the injections. Thanks Dr. Sengos. You're the best and your staff is so pleasant I actually left smiling and my teeth look great!

A "small filling" in a wisdom tooth turned into the worst nightmare I could've ever imagined. One or more of Sengos' injections hit a nerve, resulting in not only severe parasthesia, but I could not open my mouth more than half an inch. His staff was useless in attempting to determine what happened and eventually, 5 days after the "small filling", I was sent to an oral surgeon, who ultimately had to extract the tooth bc the infection and pain had reached such a level of severity, there were no other options.
This practice has consistently overcharged me for procedures. The receptionists are unpleasant and passive aggressive. I was always on time for my appts, and ALWAYS had to wait a MINIMUM of 30mins, with NO apology. I would even call before my appts to confirm he was on time, was told that he was, and upon arriving, was forced to WAIT.
About Hygienist: I love my hygienist (forgot her name, but she was lovely), but i will NOT return to this practice bc of Sengos and his colleagues.

Having been a patient of Dr. Demetrios Sengos for the past 13 years, though I still get nervous with anticipation of whats to come. Dr. Sengos and his staff puts my fears to rest the second I walk in. With friendly greetings, the comfortable ambiance of the reception area, high technical dental rooms it all contributes to my comfort, mentally and physically well being .
This past week I had a cavity and Dr. Sengos explained through out what was occurring and that added to my ease. I highly recommend Dr. Demetrios Sengos and his staff. Having anxiety with a dental visit, he is an EXCELLENT Doctor and knowing he is current in the industry and gentle with his patient is what has me returning an keeping myself well and healthy.

From past experiences I had true dentist phobia. I had not visited a dentist in many years and I was one of those people who would not sit in a chair to save my life. One day I met Peter (who runs the office) and he convinced me to stop by and talk to Dr. Sengos. I did. That was a few years ago and I could not be happier. I want to thank the entire team (specialists, hygienists and all) who restored my confidence, worked around my fears and brought my smile back! Thank you to everyone. There is no better place to get a root canal! I LOVE THESE GUYS!
About Hygienist: There are two and they are amazing! Every time i make an appointment I have a hard time deciding which to choose!

i visited my dentist for the 1st time in yrs as i was very scared and nervous,well that's be kind to myself i was extremely terrified,but on my first visit i was so calmed by the reception staff that by the time i saw the dentist i was relaxed to the point that i was not as nervous,the assistant was very soothing and assuring that i couldn't wait to see the dentist,the exam was the most intense and thorough i ever gone through,today i finally had the fillings done and cleaning and was the happiest ever at a dentist,especially dr.sengos,he's Amazing simply put,i highly recommend him and his staff for people who are extremely afraid of the dentist
About Hygienist: she was great,best cleaning ever,you came out feeling really clean,like it was done right,she's awesome

I have been going to Dr. Sengos for over 18 years, so I can say I owe him my teeth...
And to say that I enjoy going to the dentist is actually not a lie. Demetrios is extremely professional, super attentive to the patient's needs and does everything he can to make his clients feel at home, not being tortured: his goal is the patient's health.
He has a great staff, knowledgeable about insurance claims, friendly, never intrusive.
Basically I would rather get a new filling than a flu shot!

After going through 5 years of orthodontic work as a teenager, I consider myself one of the most pickiest people about my teeth. With the over saturated market of NYC practices, attempting to find a qualified Doctor in both orthodontic and cosmetic procedures in the manhattan area actually became overwhelmingly impossible. When it comes to my teeth, I simply wanted the best...Period! After several bad experiences, I FINALLY found Demetrios Sengos at West 10th Dental.
Upon initially meeting him (along with being extremely easy on the eyes!!!), he to took the time to listen, question, and critically evaluate my current and future concerns about my teeth. Most importantly, I felt he was genuine when we discussed various plan options for my smile. He didn't seem rushed and he wasn't pushy about any procedures, which were reasons I didn't comfortable at the other places I had visited here in NYC.
I've been going to his practice now for over 4 years for maintenance, orthodontic treatment, and some cosmetic work. He's really done a beautiful job at perfecting the smile I had always hoped and dreamed to have! His staff is so friendly too and they are in a beautiful location. Definitely #1 in my book.

Great space, great staff, great service, great results and great doctor! Thanks to dr Sengos and his caring staff, I have a chance to save thousands of dollars that another dentist was advising me to spend! Spa like atmoshere in a compact, state of the art facilitiy, Helpful staff, easy and inexpensive billing, and above all, pain free and caring procedures! Thanks Dr. Sengos!

Thanks to the excellent care rec'd from Dr. Sengos for the past 17 years, I have never experienced a significant dental prob. Regularly sched cleanings & root planing/scaling, fillings, crowns have all been done w/successful outcomes. Dr. S and a colleague performed a successful implant of a molar. No discomfort, abutment sits well, no problems. Dr. S & staff-professional, warm, caring, patient. All recommendations/procedures thoroughly explained, ???'s answered. Instruction given for aftercare. I have never been nervous anticipating or undergoing a procedure. Dr. S & associate available if problems arise. Excellent teamwk bet Dr. S, his staff incl front desk staff. Ongoing info provided pt to maintain optimum dental health. Waiting rm small, comfortable, restful colors. Front desk staff , with patience & clarity ,prov info/explanation re:fees, billing, insurance coverage, etc during visit. Scheduling done so minimum/no wait experienced. As an insulin-dependent diabetic for 36 yrs, I am grateful to Dr. Sengos and his superb care for maintaining the health of my teeth and gums.
About Hygienist: Delia, hygienist, has worked alongside Dr. Sengos for as long as I remember. Great team! She's knowledgeable about procedures, has equipment ready, takes directions well. Very personable. Carol & Erin, "cleaning" hygienists, have also been w/Dr. S for yrs. Carol,my hygienist, sees to it I experience minimum discomfort (numbing gel on my gums), does a thorough job, checks my gum health every visit, advises me on care of teeth/gums between visits. I trust her expertise, and the results of her cleaning.
