Dr. Martinez was good. some of the staff was too and some were horrid. after being told I needed 17 fillings I went for a second opinion. I didn't have any, but I did have one watch area. Now after seeing a new dentist a crown I had put on by dr. Martinez the specialist found pieces of dental equipment left in my root canal that had caused my tooth to become infected and abscessed and noted that during my original root canal only one piece of the root had been touched. The specialist said the damage done to my tooth was specifically caused by the poor dentistry work by whoever performed the original root canal and he was barely able to save the tooth. I have follow up appointments for the two other teeth that dr. Martinez performed root canals on and both the specialist and the my current dentist said they can't tell why the crown or root canals were even performed as the roots and all of my teeth appear to be strong and healthy.
About Front Desk: Nothing special and they would argue back with me a lot if I questioned them. my company had out copay info printed on our cards but they always wanted to charge more.

extremely incompetent and deceptive. Dentist cut off six front crowns which were just done by another dentist and uneven. Dr. Martinez promised by the time he replaced the crowns and partial, I would be satisfied and walk out of his office pleased. I experienced extreme pain when he fused together 4 crowns (without telling me before cementing them) He became argumentative in his office when I confronted him and insisted he re do the crowns. When he finally agreed to cut them apart and make 2 additional crowns, all the previous crowns kept falling off. Within the course of 6 months, Then the teeth under the crowns broke at the gum line only four months after they were placed. The 6 month old partial also chipped. Dr martinez informed me he that he was under no obligation to warranty his work and that I would have to pay for the crowns again. Since then, I have had to go to an endodonist to perform two root canals on the severed teeth and the prostodonist is recommending the remaining teeth are so fragile that I need a full denture. When I tried to explain this to Dr martinez and his office manager, Kursten, she stated that it was my fault and they refused to warranty their work. She hung up on me. Very unfriendly and uncaring staff

Today is the my last day as a patient of Dr, Martinez. He has kept me waiting in his office waiting room for the last time. I had no other problem other than the lack of respect for my time. I write this because this is not the first time he has kept me waiting. It is however, the last time I wait. If you value your time; don't go!!!

From the moment I walked in as a dental emergency this office accommodated my every need. From the friendly front office staff to the outstanding back office care, everything was percise and top notch. The cost was in line with most offices that offer this type of quality care. They also verified and discounted my treatment per my dental insurance plan. I highly recommend Dr. Jose Martinez to anybody that is looking for a high quality, extremely gentle experience. Thank you for your outstanding dental care.

Although Smilecare will tell you they have experience with children, our experience with them was extremely negative. I could hear my 6 year old son screaming in the waiting room. The office had been told in advance that he would be fearful of the treatment. When I told the receptionist I wanted to see my son because I could hear him screaming in the waiting room, I was told "Yes, so can we." As if my son's fright was an inconvenience to her. After all of this, and being told that the treatment had to be completed, I was told the treatment was unsuccessful. I now have to start over with a new dentist and a traumatized child who is even more afraid of the dentist than before. I would not recommend Smilecare or Dr. Martinez to anyone.
