Read Reviews for Dr. Doris Nishimoto
My bridge fell off late at night when flossing. I sent an email to Dr. Nishimoto midnight and I got a reply early next morning. Dr. Nishimoto came to the office at 7 pm to reattach the bridge for me and it fits better than before. She has chosen the simpliest, most effective and economical solution to fix the problem. Benefit of the patient is her top priority. She is the best dentist I have.
I know this doctor: 6 months

We chose Dr. Nishimoto because she has lots of experience (she's been in the business since 1978) and because the United HealthCare site said she spoke Japanese, which is important for my wife. Unfortunately, she doesn't speak much Japanese, but we still like her. She's very personable and her recommendations sound honest. It may take a bit more time here than other offices, as she does everything herself (including reception), but it means that you get all the attention. The only knock here was that the injection of anesthesia was the most painful I've had. Despite this, however, I feel that she is competent and I would recommend her.
For billing, I have UHC and so far haven't had to pay anything beyond my normal insurance payments.

Dr. Nishimoto is an accomplished professional. She is a pioneer, as one of relatively few females to become licensed as a dentist, when she received her training. Additionally, she had to overcome prejudice doubly, in that she is Japanese-American. Dr. Nishimoto provides caring, dedicated customer services which both address the patient's immediate needs, as well as making sure to cover important information about dental health, teaching the patient (myself and my daughter) about the latest findings in effective dental hygiene and preventive dental care. Dr. Nishimoto is thorough, does not rush the patient, and creates a zero-anxiety, very warm and relaxing atmosphere. Because of her many years of experience, Dr. Nishimoto is able to exercise good judgment regarding dental interventions, making conservative decisions in the interest of maintaining as long as possible one's healthy set of natural teeth. She certainly does not aggressively market costly aesthetic dental procedures, as many Bay Area dentists seem to, nor does she suggest unnecessary dental procedures. She is very nice, appropriately conversational, friendly, and a great resource for a diversity of dental needs. Thank you for reading this review! We really like her.

I saw Dr. Nishimoto once about 4 years ago, and I loved her. My appointment was extremely quick and efficient (helped that I was first of the day--her receptionist wasn't even there yet). I was especially appreciative that she didn't try to sell me extra stuff I don't need--I have very healthy teeth (knock on wood) that seem not at all prone to decay. She didn't ask if I wanted whitening, she even told me with such healthy teeth, I could even space my check-ups 9 months apart.
Unfortunately, my insurance changed shortly thereafter, and I had to find a new dentist. After 3 others, I haven't found another I like. So I tried going back to Dr. Nishimoto, but every time I call, I get a machine. I've left a few messages, and have never had a call back. So, I guess she won't get my business after all--maybe she's too busy already, in which case I can't recommend her--even if she answers your calls! :)
