Read Reviews for Dr. Faculty Practice Harvard Dental Center
You would think that the Harvard Dental School Faculty Practice could be relied upon to provide above-average dental care given that these faculty train future generations of dentists. My real complaint is with the lack of coordination and poor communication and customer service. Appointments for future cleanings cannot be made when you leave and often require LONG holds by phone. If you make an appointment with your hygienist, YOU have to expressly ask to book a simultaneous appt with your dentist or they will not give you an oral exam. And the greatest insult of all - being kept waiting nearly two months to repair a damaged filling. The receptionists simply call leaving messages to further postpone the repair (due to dentist's new vacation schedule) without any communication from the dentist as to whether it is a good idea to postpone the repair for so long. A call back gets you the professional opinion of the receptionist on duty that unless you are in great pain, there are no earlier appointments - with no offer to ask or allow you to speak with a dentist to ascertain that it is safe to wait so long. The lack of an effective system of communication is what makes this center so problematic in my opinion.
