He injected me with novocain 5 times and failed to numb my tooth, gave up and sent me home with a prescription for penicillin, saying an infection in the tooth was the reason for not getting numb. A week later I have bad pain in my jaw joint, where the needles went in, when opening my jaw, and the tooth remains sensitive to hot and cold. The day after my appointment, his dental assistant called me to say she had stuck herself on one of the novocain needles while cleaning up, and asked me to get HIV and hepatitis tests, which I did for her peace of mind. Needless to say, I'm never going back there. My wife uses Patel's partner, Jerry Paik, and says he is good. Other features of the practice were average to good.
