Read Reviews for Dr. Roger Yokoyama
I am perfectly satisfied with Dr. Yokoyama and his service. Especially do I appreciate not having to wait to see him because his staff makes appointments that do not overlap. His office staff are very cordial and helpful also. I cannot relate to other negative reviews because all of my experience with Dr. Yokoyama has been positive.

Dr. Yokoyama does not communicate well. His is not a patient person, and I suspect he has anger issues. This is apparent in his exasperated manner. Needless to say, then, he is not a good listener! Because of this, he inflicted irreparable damage to my teeth, but, he insisted I pay the bill in full anyway. Threatened me if I didn't. HO! Could not believe this. This is when I switched dentists. I now see Jeffrey Sonson in Kailua, he's great.

Very laid back doctor. I appreciate his practice approach - non-intrusive, holistic.
About Hygienist: Dr. Yokoyama's assistant is very pleasant and professional. She did a great job polishing my teeth and didn't leave any gritty feeling in my teeth, unlike the many hygienists I had had in the past.

I had my teeth cleaned, several fillings and a crown.Dr. Yokoyama left most of the cleaning work to his assistant.
He did 7 fillings for me and it was the most horrendous dental job ever, their edges were sharp, unpolished, uneven so they were irritating my tongue and gums. The next dentist had to do repolished several so that they are less irritating until I can have them redone.Actually since then,4 months ago 2 of the fillings fell off.
There was a gap between the edge of the gum and the crown so I had a dark long black line. I requested to have the work redone, he was extremely rude and said that it was not his fault or the mold's but its my tooth that the crown did not fit (it was the most unprofessional excuse for bad sloppy work I have ever heard)
When he finally agreed to have the work redone, to remove the 1st crown he filled down my original tooth so much and couldn't do the right anchoring,my temporary crown fell off 3 times.
At that stage I knew that I will end up with very bad job no matter what.
I had my insurance recover the money they paid him, for me to have the work done somewhere else.
What work I had done by him were badly done, very carelessly, he was very dismissive and unprofessional.
Please stay away!

He did 3 fillings for me a couple of years ago, immediately after the work I noticed that I still felt pain. He told me that it would go away. Hardly 2 year later I had to have the fillings redone as I still felt occasional pain and the teeth with the fillings smelled very bad. There was some infection on my gum as his fillings were irritating and a lot of foods were trapped there.
