I went to see Stephens and provided all my dental insurance. The receptionist called in to get authorization and told me I was all set to see the dentist. I explained that since I was unemployed I could not pay for any services that were not covered by my dental plan. She told there would not be any "out of the ordinary" charges so I proceeded. I needed a couple of things done that I agreed to pay for (about $1500.00 worth) and I thought I was done. 2 weeks later I receive a bill for $1,100.00. They didn't even call to explain - they just sent me a bill. I was flabbergasted and pissed! Besides the bill issue I found Dr. Stephens bedside manner to be abrubt and tempermental. He actually hurt me a couple of times! I will NEVER go there again and would discourage anyone from going to see him.
