What a great guy. Very kind and gentle dentist. Attention to detail and is focused on making sure you understand what he's doing. Isn't about the money, he just wants to get it right and for you and to get the right treatment performed. Easily the best dental experience I have had in my 65 years! Oh, and he's also just a really nice guy!

I was leaving on a month vacation out of the country and broke a tooth. And with in a week he was able to get me a root canal and a crown. He and his people were the best. There was very little pain in the whole procces. If you are looking for a dentist he is the best. Elliott Ashford 1/26/2017

TMJ - adjusted my jaws so now my bit is in line. I have no pain in my ears now - he did a great job. It took awhile but he persevered in getting it right. I'm very happy with him and the results.

Had a problem with my bite and didn't know what the problem was. It was decided after some testing that it was with my jaw or Bite/TMJ. I was fitted with orthodics or mouth guards to be worn day and night. Almost immediately I was sleeping better and my ability to breath at night increased 100%. Prior to that I was having to wear nose strips and even that only helped a little. I was waking up several times during the night, congested in the morning, had headaches and my neck and shoulder areas hurt. I have been sleeping very well and through the night and waking up rested since wearing the mouth guards or appliances. I am very happy with my results to date.

Dr Altuzarra is professional, caring, honest, and knowledgeable. I'm currently being treated for TMJ and very happy with the results thus far. I sleep better, feeling more rested and my teeth grinding has reduce significantly. The entire staff always make me feel welcome and comfortable when I walk into his office.

I've never written a review before but couldn't wait to share my experience I don't live in the area and after arriving in Palm Desert, my temporary crown came off. After a phone call to his courteous staff, they got me in immediately and took care to replace the temporary crown after an exam. He was thorough and I'm happy to say if I'm back in the area and in need of a dentist--Dr Altuzarra is the dentist I will call

About Front Desk: The front office staff were able to accommodate my needs within hours. When I was ready to leave and pay my bill, I was told the visit was complimentary. Unheard of in this day! What an unexpected treat. Thank you!!

About Hygienist: The assistant for Dr Altuzarra has been with him 22 years--a testament to his practice. She was very personable, caring and efficient. She replaced my crown within minutes and made sure I no longer had discomfort and my bite was great.

I've been going to Dr Altuzarra for 14 years and I couldn't be happier. He and his entire staff are professional, caring, and knowledgable. I've had my teeth cleaned, x-rayed, filled, and whitened in his office. I'm currently undergoing treatment for TMJ and the results so far are excellent. I found that sleep better, better range of movement in my jaw and the "cracking" I originally had, when opening my mouth, is almost completely gone. I highly recommend his office.

As a lifelong Coachella Valley resident and businessman, I am fortunate to know who is "great at what" and Dr. Altuzarra is simply the best. Certainly, there are plenty of good medical providers and I am friendly with quite a few, but he is my first recommendation. His diagnosis and treatment of my TMJ changed my life dramatically for the better. I believe the words I used with him were, "I've got my life back!" In addition to the health, vigor and SLEEP I again enjoy, he has helped my wife with a much more complicated process that greatly reduced what had been a lifetime of headaches. I used to helplessly watch her struggle with migraine pain and thanks to Dr. George those days are behind her. I also have friends who suffered similar ailments as my wife (unfortunately, it appears quite common) and I have referred them and they too have had similar relief and great results. In addition to his TMJ treatment I had the most boring root canal treatment imaginable, which I can only say must also have been a great thing! Dr. Altuzarra is a gentleman, a professional and a class act. I cannot imagine giving anyone a stronger recommendation in any field. Sincerely, Ray Rodriguez

very professional and caring approach. My recent visit was immediate concern of possible root canal or replacement of fixed bridge. They had me come in that day I called and after extensive review with their specialist and Dr. Altuzarra they determined it was 'just' a minor injury and solved the problem. I consider this a test of their integrity as they easily have suggested a major repair.
