I've know Ms Hou for a long time but recently have gone seen her again. OMGggg reminded me why I didn't see her for a while. Literally the worst dentist there is. Just google her name and see all the bad reviews.

To me, A. Hou and her office cannot be considered an honest dental office. In our experience, they first misinform you about what you should pay under your insurance, they then mislead you to take unnecessary procedures that are not covered by insurance (but lumping the service with other stuff so that you appear 'partly' covered by insurance). They do not keep detailed records of the services they conducted so there is relatively little paper trail, and they are not willing to deal with you when you try to ask about these dishonest activities.

About Front Desk: Incompetent, but very good at evading your questions and referring to an office manager who's "never" there when you need him.
