Dr Lu's intimate practice allows his hands on involvement at every stage of your treatment. I went to him on recommendation from a clergy member of my church who nderstood my apprehension abotr bein seen bt also saw the relative rgency of my oral care needs. I had been dianosed with AIDS the year earlier and had been a crystal meth abuser before that. My teeth were fragile and breakin away each day it seemed. No dental insrance and even less sell esteem cased me to allow this problem to o on as lon as it did. Dr L agreed to see me the next day and I was pleasantly put at ease when I arrived and met Mia at the desk and then Dr. Lu. He allowed me to tell my story to him with out any sign of judgement or disapproval. He was compassionate and caring from the start, and although we embarked on a 4 month journey of extensive repair work including a lower full denture and an upper partial, it was always pain free. He would tell you that I was just being tough or thick skinned but he truly has the most gentle chair-side manner. Also, importantly to me was his creative strategy to use UCLA in tandem with his office to make the most of my Medi-cal benefits. An expert, genious and often artist, there is no finer dentist in LA.

Dr. Lu is brilliant, thorough and honest. He is the best dentist I have every had. In his check ups, he checks the jaw, and the entire mouth to make sure everything is in order. He did a phenomenal job with my veneers, I truly have a Hollywood Smile. Facilities are impeccable, not fancy, functional and nice. His office administrator is for professional and pleasant. She does a great job of managing appointments, with reminder calls and post cards. I highly recommend Dr. Lu.
About Hygienist: Betty was my hygentist. She is gentle, but firm and also very thorough in the cleaning. She numbed my gums AND the my teeth as I have sensitive teeth.

I'm really impressed by this dentist. Very thorough knowledge and care I have not seen before. Just go as a new patient and you will see what I mean. The staff are all great as well.
