Dr. Nakayama was referred to me through a trusted friend. He is obviously someone who loves what he does and it comes through the meticulous care that he gives to each of his patients. He is very responsive and offers a straightforward, but thoughtful, answer. His availability (which should be a rating criteria) is also admirable. A credit to the profession.
About Hygienist: Very polite and knowledgable.

High praise from someone who HATES going to the dentist.: I consider him very skilled and dexterious, not ham-fisted. He stays up to date in the field, and performs his duties as a craftsman, not a salesperson. I have not required his services for cosmetic purposes, but highly recommend him as an excellent "health-oriented" dentist. He will not recommend replacing all your old fillings for cosmetic reasons or profit; uses latest techniques/technologies but doesn't upsell for unneccessary procedures, and will refer to good oral surgeon for necessary jobs. Excellent bedside manner for those who are a bit phobic (like me!) Pricing is moderate to upper, but well worth it, as I am loathe to go elsewhere as lower priced clinics have left me emotionally scarred and regretful - Trust is invaluable.
About Hygienist: Not as good as DDS, but he does most everything himself anyway

I've only been to him for cleanings, but he is definitely one of the best dentist's I've ever been to. He's extremely thorough and he spends a lot of time explaining what he's doing, and what you should expect. He shows you exactly what you need to do to keep your teeth healthy. Extraordinarily friendly staff as well.
