i am a relatively new patient - but i've been to see Dr. Wakamatsu about 5 times in the past 6months (been neglecting my teeth for some time). Anyways - he's great, i like the facility, he has good bedside manners, and he seems to be very knowledgable about current technology - and gives me a lot of options and likes to explain everything he's going to do, what he has done and next steps (it's great because i'm sort of a control freak :-)). He's busy so expect about 2-4weeks wait for open appt. Also, he tends to schedule multiple small visits vs one big one, so make sure to voice it to him if you want fewer, longer sessions vs more, shorter sessions.

I've been going to Harold and Todd Wakamatsu for 15 years now. My family has always had great treatment from them-because I always had a good dentist, I never understood why anyone was terrified of going to the dentist. They are competent, honest, and their office provides good customer service. I highly recommend them. Plus, there's lots of good food nearby so it's an excuse to go eat french dip at Philippe's downtown.
