Read Reviews for Dr. Yih-Loing Hong
I went to Dr. Hong on the recommendation of a co-worker to have a broken filling replaced. He botched it 3 times while I was in the chair. The assistant barely irrigated or used the suction tube during the procedure leaving the silt and gravel from 3 botched fillings in my mouth to spit out between attempts. He told me the amalgam filling would need 8 hours to set hard (BS) and to avoid that side of my mouth. 19 hours later I bit into a piece of soft bread and the filling disintegrated.
The facilities appeared run down and it was obvious that a lot of the plastic coverings on the equiptment had not been changed in some time. The Dr did not communicate to me what he was doing or what was going wrong until I asked him directly. He discussed my procedure with his assistant in Chinese so I could not understand what was going on with the work.
I am a seasoned vetran at sitting in a denist's chair, however I was made to feel quite ill at ease with the lack of professionalism and courtesy that took place in the office. While Dr. Hong did waive his insurance claim for the work that took place, I felt it may have been more selfishly motivated as waiving his fee rendered me unable to lodge a complaint with Delta.
