He would sometimes miss appointments and the hygienist ended up doimg the examination, and if she saw anything concerning, she said ahe would tell him to follow up. Not exactly a good approach.
About Hygienist: Hygienist is great.

Came to Dr. Lim when he purchased my previous doctor's practice. Unfortunately, it was a change for worse: suddenly your a beeing pushed into unecesary treatments, the cost went up tremendously and the worse they do not tell you that you can get less expensive treatments. Point- i had to do a new crown. I was charged tripple of normal price - my fault for not checking around - but the worse were autrocious results. It's been 6 months after the crown was done by R. Lim but I feel pain, can not eat on that side and WORSE - I have 2 BIG gaps between my teeth - gaps that were not before. THe food gets in there it is painfull as well. When complanined about it - no response. My husband - the same. 2 crowns and after a year - still painfull. And the cost - $1500 per tooth! SO RUN - other wise you would be fleeced and your insurance will not cover excubrant charges. You will be constantly sold "new" techniques and pushed for procedures you do not need. I guess soembody has to pay for his lifestyle. Let be assured I am not going to pay for it and it seems other patients are voting with their feet as well; you can get appointments w/o ANY wait... it tells you something

Dr. Lim is my favorite medical practitioner. He is warm, smart, practical, intelligent. He is always working to improve the technology and the patient and staff environment/facility.
He and a former partner bought this practice some years ago from our original dentist, who retired. We were happy from the start.
Dr. Lim is also a happy family man, and a geek. I look forward to talking dental and consumer issues with him on my 2x/year visits. I like hearing what he and his family have been up to, and sharing notes on vacations and new tech gear purchases that he or I have made.
When I need a crown (did not inherit great teeth!), he can make it right in the office, using an awesome computerized system to make it. You get to watch! He also has digitized x-rays, making it easy for the patient to see on the screen if there is an issue with a tooth.
He makes great referrals, too. When I needed an endodontist, he gave a great recommendation.
Staff are pleasant and efficient. I definitely recommend Dr. Lim w/out reservation!
About Hygienist: Hygenists are good. They may vary as often they are part-time, but I am always happy with their efforts. As my husband and I often go together for checkups, one of us gets the hygienist and Dr. Lim actually does the hygienist's job on the other of us. He is good at that, too! Nice that they will see us both together.

I've been going to this dentist for several years. Almost all of the preventitive work (x-rays, cleaning, polishing, talking to you about the importance of flossing, etc) is done by the dental assistants. Try to get Christina (sp?), she's the best of the bunch. The dentist just gives you a 30-second inspection at the end. Other than standard cleaning, I haven't had any work done there other than a sealant, which the Dr. Lim did a good job on. I have to pay a few dollars over what my insurance (MetLife Dental) covers. The employees are very professional and pleasant. They don't yet have the digital x-ray technology, just the standard film based one, although they mentioned that they were going to upgrade in the future.

I don't feel comfortable going to this dentist. He didn't listen to me. I felt I was talking to a wall each time I visited him. Staff seems competent and friendly but wouldn't recommend dentist.
