Read Reviews for Dr. James Murrin
I was referred to Dr. Murrin by my dentist for a root canal. Due to the condition of the tooth's root structure this was apparently a challenging case. During my initial consultation visit with Dr. Murrin the following was discussed: Cost for entire procedure would be around $1,200. I asked in the event he was unsuccessful, what would be the cost? Dr. Murrin stated it would be around $600. Not having dental insurance this was still a considerable risk for me. I asked his best guess for success and Dr. Murrin stated about 90%. I decided to move forward. On the day of the procedure Dr. Murrin was unsuccessful. This was unfortunate but to make matters worse I was still charged the entire $1,200. When I brought up our previous discussion, Dr. Murrin went on to explain there's another procedure he could attempt in 6 months and that he could possibly give me at discount on that. Needless to say this was completely disappointing. In addition, the bottom half of my tooth turned black from the failed attempt. Dr. Murrin had no explanation for this. At this point the tooth was completely compromised and cosmetically unpleasant. I never returned to Dr. Murrin and definitely would not recommend to others. In my case he was dishonest, period.

My dentist said he had Dr Murrin do his root canal and he refers all of his patients to him. The root canal was amazing, less pain than a tooth cleaning. I highly recommend this office. His staff was really caring and helpful

My husband used this endodontist 3 times for root canals and I have used him once. We can't recommend him high enough! I had heard nightmares about the pain of a root canal-the favorable experience with Dr. Murrin has totally changed my mind! The only discomfort that was involved was a little bit with the needles for the deadening agent for the procedure and even then they gave a topical to reduce that. He is so professional and extremely gentle in his work in the mouth. There weren't any surprises-walked me through it step by step so I knew what was happening all the time. It is evident that his top goal is excellent care to the patient. His staff is friendly, courteous, efficient and effective. Office is nice, parking has not been a problem. I don't think any endodontists are inexpensive but I can't compare prices as I don't know others' prices. For me, it is worth it for the procedure to be done right and painlessly!

Dr. Murrin is extremely polite and sets you at ease right away. I've had several root canals and one that someone else had done that he had to re-do; which went very smoothly.
