I would have written this better but I don't have enough space: He told me I couldn't use sealant on my teeth because all the cavities I will ever have, I have at this very moment (I'm very young) The best doctor in the bay area along with several others have said that's incorrect and have all independently reached the conclusion that he was trying to make more money off of the situation by letting the cavities form charging me 8 times the amount I would have had to pay if I had the sealant treatment done. (sealant treatment is done on people who have deep crevasses in their teeth so deep that no amount of brushing will help cavities are inevitable.) Initially he was good in my opinion - the further insight and irrevocable evidence I've gained now highly contradicts my previous opinion. Not recommended!

Dr. Mulcahy is an excellent dentist. He is professional, friendly and well recommended. His treatment plans are explained in full and end results are just what I expected. It is great to be a patient with a dentist of this caliber.

Dr. Mulcahy is an excellent dentist, he is caring, he listens and is completely thorough in his exams. Your concerns are his concerns ,he is not eager to give you an expensive dental plan, he looks out for what is best for you as an individual. I've been his patient for a long time and would not change him for the world, he takes good care of me, everything he has done until now has worked. His prices are fair an he also has a fabulous office staff!
About Hygienist: Dr. Tim's hygienist is awesome, really sweet and caring, she is gentle and does an a great job every time.

I've been going to Dr Mulcahy for general checkups and cleanings for a couple of years, and have uniformly good experiences with his practice.
He, and his assistants anre professional, friendly and competent.

Dr. Mulcahey is a great dentist! He is friendly and confidence inspiring. He is gentle and the procedures were pain free. The results were great! But I'll tell you the thing I like best about him. He is conservative in his treatments. He does what is needed for good dental health and no more!
I had just had a bad experience with another Palo Alto dentist . That dentist had told me I needed almost all my teeth crowned. He also told me I had to have my wisdom teeth out. He charged me a fortune. Luckily I only had 5 crowns done before I relized the scam (this other dentist also misled me on the price, charging my the whole amount for half the work, then claiming I'd misunderstood).
I went to to Mulcahey because I got absesses in two of the crowned teeth, the other three were not looking good. Dr. Mulcahey told me that my uncrowned teeth did not need crowns and my wisdom teeth were in good shape and didn't need extraction. I now feel confident that if Dr. Mulcahey tells me I need work done, that I really do! The work he does is great! I highly recommend him.
