We all have our regular bi-yearly cleanings etc....he's done fillings. He is completely and utterly honest...never jumps to treat an issue unless it absolutely needs it. Prices are low.
I recommended Dr. Roberts to a friend who had gone to two other dentists about a sore tooth. She was told it would require all kinds of expensive and invasive treatment. Dr. Roberts handled the problem in one brief visit and it cost only 1/100th of what the other doctors had quoted her.

Dr. Roberts is an exceptional oral surgeon. His entire staff is incredibly professional, helpful and caring. My teeth and gums are healthier than they've ever been. As long as I'm living in the Bay Area, Dr. Roberts will be my dentist/oral surgeon. If he's taking new patients, definitely check him out - you'll hear some really cool jazz music in the process!
About Hygienist: Can't recall her name, but my teeth always feel tingly clean after a cleaning. She also helped me understand the benefits of an electric toothbrush. I now swear by it and have hardly any plaque when I see her.

Dr Roberts is the best dentist that I have even used. He is professional, highly skilled, communicates effectively, and takes my needs into consideration. His office staff is well trained, his hygenist excellent, and his office conveniantly located near the Stanford campus. He is excellent with both simple procedures and complex surgeries, and is especially good with children. I trust him completely to be honest with me in regards to the procedures that I need and with his billing. Overall, I would highly recommend him to both friends and family.

I highly recommend Dr. Roberts. Everyone on his staff is fantastic. The front desk is very helpful and patient. My hygienist is very thorough but gentle. And last but not least, Dr. Roberts is a great dentist. He's very friendly, explains everything up front so I know what to expect and is great about answering all of my questions.

Dr. Roberts is a very thorough dentist. He takes safety precautions when working on your teeth that I have not seen other dentists employ (e.g., safety glasses so that nothing from your mouth gets flicked into your eyes and causes infection).
He is not too aggressive ("this filling is slightly cracked but not leaking so we'll wait 6 months and look again before we do anything"). He offers a full range of products from the inexpensive to the really aesthetically nice.
He is very well read, often citing studies that show which techniques are provably better than others & will often recommend something less expensive because he's read it's just as effective (e.g. Crest white strips rather than laser whitening, etc.)
His checkups go beyond teeth -- checking for any jaw problems you might have, etc.
I think he is highly competent and very up to date regarding current methods in dentistry.
As a plus, he is also a really great guy and plays good music in the background.

Best dentist I ever had. I only had general dentistry done, but he also operates at Stanford hospital. Friendly staff, well trained hygenist, processed insurance with no problems. Can't comment on $$, I only paid deductible for Delta. I give him a good rating in this category based on the fact that he carries Delta. Facilities are excellent, I don't expect spa treatment. Unfortunately, I moved away from Stanford and he did not move with me.

Does nice-fitting work, put 3 crowns in over the last 8 years. Tells you what you don't need, not what he wants to sell you. Very educated on a variety of subjects. Does reconstructive surgery at the hospital. Very aware of pain and has no problem in responding to needs. Hygienists have all been great too. Yeah it's costly but with dental insurance it hasn't been an issue...you get what you pay for. Having had a variety of dentists over the past 40 years I can say he's the best I've had, by FAR.

Many times I had to wait, even as others came and went. Sometimes they were late to open, even when I tried to be first patient in the morning.
But the worst was treatments that I'm sure were wrong.
