CAme to Dr. Alder when the pain just got too intense to take. HAving had many dentists not be able to get me numb, I had a true fear of the dentist, and therefore a LOT of issues to correct. Dr. Alder got me numb, and took care of the immediate issue, and that convinced me to go back for other repairs. It took about 18 months, but I have a mouthful of healthy teeth, and I have been going for cleanings on schedule. I never feel he is doing unnecessary work to make more money, and he never hurts me! He's great!
About Hygienist: Judy is Dr. Alder's wife, and she is very knowledgable and helpful. She is friendly and pragmatic, too!

I was in so much pain when I went to see Dr. Alder... I had not been to a dentist in 18 years because of several bad experiences, but he was great, helped me and I have corrected all my issues with him over the last few years. Now I go every six months like clockwork and never have any issues. He is quiet, and I think many people may see this as unfriendly, but I don't want my dentist asking me a bunch of questions when they have their hands in my mouth! He just lets me get to my coping place and relax as much as possible. He never recommends unnecessary treatments so he can bill more. The office is a bit outdated, but I don't care about that...the equipment is not!
About Hygienist: Judy is Dr. Alder's wife and she is very outgoing (they seem like polar opposites). She was very encouraging to me when I started going there and had many things to address from my long standing aversion of the dentist's chair!

Many dental practices are more like used car sales lots than medical facilities. Dr. Alder (and his wife the assistant) is friendly, honest, and his care is straightforward. A previous dentist wanted me to receive a gum graft that would have cost thousands--Dr. Alder laughed at the notion, gave me a cleaning and sent me on my way. He's always on time, and he doesn't leave you to the care of dental assistants with marginal english language skills--he's the dentist and he does all the work!

Should be called "Painless Potter". A pain and stress free environment. Outstanding patient relations, efficient and always on time. A very friendly office.

I do not recommend this dentist to anyone. In the late 1990s
I was a client at a large infertility center and I had to inform the
clinic of any dental work that I was to have done, for medical
reasons. However, when I told this dentist about the fact
that I needed to inform the center of the nature of my dental
care, he proceeded to "scold" me in a most unpleasant
way for trying to become a single parent. I do not know this
dentist or his family personally and it is certainly none of
his business when a client makes a decision as personal
as infertility care and the details of that care. He has what
I personally consider to be an abrasive personality and I
should have dropped him as a dentist that very day, except
that at the time I was on a very busy personal schedule
and so forth. I hope that no other infertility patients will
visit this dentist, and I certainly do not recommend him to
anyone!
