I would never recommend to anyone that they come here for any sort of filling/cavity work.
One filling my kid got, I think bonded to the adjacent tooth, and it very quickly broke. I, ignorant as I am, didn't think much about the fact that suddenly we could get floss between the teeth. I told his staff, they said nothing.
Turns out, we just found out at another office, it did break and it allowed another cavity.
Another filling we thought we got, we apparently did not.. at least not the whole thing! I was told it looks like the top of the filling was put in well, but not the side!!!!!!! The sides were left undone!!!!!!!!
Another one broke, food got in a crack, and it abscessed.. and rotted through to the bone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He lost his tooth from this abscess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every single filling we got, and my kid is just 5, has been replaced... because they all were poorly done. And, now my kid lost a molar.. a tooth he should have for another 5 years, at least.

Dr. Rauterkus has been our family doctor for several years. Prior to him, I was subjected to Navy dentistry. To date, he has repaired everything the Navy botched to my greatest satisfaction with no pain, and perfect fit. I am so much happier. He is a perfectionist. His staff is amazing. Best general cleaners in the business as well, and I've had many. Fantastic with children as well.
About Front Desk: Truly outstanding, and they resolve all insurance matters with ease and the customer in mind. I wish all front offices were this good.

1. Replaced a crown. Dr Rauterkus has in-house capability for crown making. He recommended replacing an existing crown, said it "needed to be redone", not sure, but I took his word. He had to make the crown twice, because the first crown he made did not fit properly. He was successful on his second attempt, but the crown has never felt like other crowns I have or the one he replaced. The new crown surface is rough. 2. Replaced bridge. This was the third time I had the bridge replaced over a period of 25 years. The first bridge lasted 10yrs and second 15yrs. My guess is I will have to replace the bridge Rauterkus put on within 1yr. This was the only time I have had a dentist after replacing the bridge tell me not to bite into anything with my front teeth!!! And it was the most painful experiece I have had. I have since found a new dentist and "I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. Rauterkus FOR ANY SERVICES".
Overall: The worst front bridge I have had both for shape and color mismatch, I am embarressed to smile for the first time in my life!!!

Replaced old crown, New crown was made in-house and does not feel the same as other crowns, surface is not as smooth and it is too tight (dental floss keeps breaking). Plus one year after replacement, the new crown is beginning to hurt.
