Knows his stuff but after 7 years my teeth have shifted a bit. Retainer options are very poor and outdated. I blame that for my shift, as I had to wear a huge mouthpeice that was very uncomfortable and ultimately went and repurchased a retainer elsewhere. Went back many years after the braces were removed to see about fixing the shift but Dr. Chin seemed whishy washey about putting braces back on and kept stringing me along by tightening my retainer which DOES NOT work, duh. So.... if I had the choice to do it agaim, I'd go somewhere else.

Dr. Chin is a highly professional orthodontist who immediately gives you the sense that he genuinely cares. He continues to offer sincere service by looking out for your best interest, and not necessarily that which would earn him the most money. In fact, he nearly turned me down and told my friend who I referred that orthodontia really was not his best option. He is highly responsive to any complaints about discomfort, and he actively includes the patient in every appointment, explaining why he is adjusting.
Dr. Chin is swell at making each visit personal and enjoyable, even handing out little red envelopes during Chinese New Year. His hygienist staff are mostly pleasant and efficient, almost never making me wait longer than the first few paragraphs of their ample magazine stashes. Billing is easy, the cost is quite reasonable, considering follow-up care is included in the original price. They were very quick to forward me detailed bills and explain the insurance process.
My friends tire of me singing his praises - truly a gem in the Bay!

I had a very complicated orthodontic case in which surgical correction was almost considered, but I started treatment with Dr. Chin early enough to have ended up with no surgery and a great smile. It did take a while because Dr. Chin was very careful in making sure everything turned out right, but it was well worth it. His fees are competitive with other orthodontists.

Really good orthodontist. Very careful, highly skilled, extremely experienced. My teeth were very misaligned before the treatment. It took a few years, but now they are very straight and neat. Many of my friends go to this orthodontist as well, and they like him a lot. Cost is quite high, but it is well worth it. Sometimes they are behind schedule, and you might have to wait 15 min to 30 min. Other than that, I like everything else about them. I highly recommend them. The results will be worth it.
