Dr. Alazaki placed 3 amalgam fillings for me. To start, he was frustrated that I choose amalgam filling material instead of composite, but I was concerned about cost and he would give me no other reasons for concern other than astethics. The procedure itself was rushed, he fumbled with the materials, had amalgam re-mixed because the consistency wasn't right, he didn't use protective measures (no rubber dam, etc) and in the end my bite was very uneven. He kept looking at his watch, and just told me that my bite would eventually grind down over several weeks. As I left the practice, I noticed that he appologetically met up with a lady friend in the parking lot- undoubtably the reason for my rushed procedure. Sadly, I became very sick within days of the procedure and suffered 9 months of ill health before a doctor finally identified that my blood/tissues had high levels of mercury in my system. I had no other exposure to mercury during that time and have no doubt, it was due to the dental procedure. I had amalgam fillings as a child with no problems, but I suspect I was exposed to far more mercury than I should have due to the rushed procedure, lack of precaution and weeks of grinding uneven amalgam fillings. DON'T USE THIS DENTIST!

Nice enough guy--talks too much though/gets awfully personal. Has a dog in his office which kind of grossed me out. We sought out a new dentist.
