Read Reviews for Dr. Joseph Appelbaum
HORROR STORY - BEWARE: Dr. Applebaum treated me for many (10) years, and did some very costly restorative work, crowns on the four middle top front teeth and a $5,000 5-unit bridge (to replace a 3 unit bridge that "failed" that another denist had done.
I learned subsequently from the dentist that he sold the practice to (and a second opinion confirmed the bad news) that ALL 4 of the top middle crowns had open margins (meaning that there is a space through which food seeps through, can't be accessed by hygiene, and is very likely to cause decay) as did two of the anchor teeth of the bridge.
The 4 middle teeth have since been re-treated with new crowns (hopefully that fit properly with now open margins) but I'm left with the huges mess of 5-unit long-span bridge, and I've very nervous now about having to lose the other teeth supporting the crown in a "catastrophic failure" of the bridge.
All in all, this has been a HORRIFIC experience. I feel now that I need to have any work a dentist "double-checked" but am concerned about how to find the dentist that truly has the expertise to do that.

Friendly and accomodating staff; nice facilities. I have more work to do with Dr. A, so will likely update the review with a success/failure report.

My husband and I visited Dr. Appelbaum after a long absence from the dentist. Dr. Appelbaum were very gentle and accommodating. Not only did he work to restore our teeth, he also worked to educate us on the importance of dental care. Dr. Appelbaum took the fear out of going to the dentist. On top of being a great dentist, Dr. Appelbaum also has an incredible staff. They are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I would recommend this dentist to anyone!
