Read Reviews for Dr. John Codington
This dentist has the best "chair-side manner" of any dentist I've run across. He has a very calm, soothing demeanor and will explain things as he goes along (if you want him to). If you want novocaine, or whatever they use now, he administers it very gently: I have never had pain from that. They have a small battery radio with headset that you can listen to while he is working on your teeth - believe me, it really made a difference when I could block out the sound of the drill and distract myself with my favorite radio station.
He has different hygienists and you can make your appt. for when your favorite hygienist is going to be in. They are all good, but some are gentler than others; some are faster.
I've had 3 gold crowns and 1 porcelain crown done by him. Once, after eating peanut brittle, a crown came off and I got in either that day or the next day to have it fixed - he is very responsive to a patient's needs.
Unfortunately, he is a very busy dentist, but it is worth the wait to see him if you are at all squeamish about dental work. I'm unhappy that because I've moved I can no longer go to him (I'm 2,000 miles away).
He does not have any other dentist in with him. His staff is excellent. Prices: average.
