I had an absolutely horrible experience with Dr. Gau and her staff. I have a sensitive mouth and even though I'd be crying in my chair, they would still be cranking away. I left the office crying after every single visit. I'm a complicated case (needed braces and shifting that would later allow for an implant and veneer). She finished the braces too early, the teeth moved, and my dentist had no space to put in the implant and veneer like she said he would. It was completely unprofessional of her to NEVER communicate with him about this very important procedure--they are my front teeth! Then, we went back to her to get braces again and she REFUSED to do business with us. So go to school for 7-odd years to do it WRONG and the make your client pay for it AGAIN with someone else? Completely unprofessional. We tried to sue her (I mean, come on. Do it wrong and then not fix your mistake?) but hiring an expert to prove our side would have been more expensive then just getting braces over again. She got away but DON'T GO TO HER unless you want a mangled mouth and pay a lot for it...and then have to pay to do it again somewhere else. My current ortho even said her work was terrible after looking at the xray.

I have been coming to this office for many years, as well as many neighbors and friends. Dr Gau is truly a good orthodontist, and she has a wonderful staff.
They call you the night you get your braces on to see how you are doing and they make a great fuss the day you get the braces off. They remember my children's birthdays with cards and even a song if they come in the week of. This isn't just any orthodontic office, the staff treats everyone as friends.
