Although the Dr. did not put in my implants, he worked in conjunction with the Dentist who did..even meeting for lunch to discuss my chart! That is way beyond the call. I have had everything done in my mouth and this dentist is unbelievable! My process with my last set of implants (4) was difficult for the dentist because the implants had to be put in at an angle because of the bone. Dr. Lockwood truly worked a miracle to fit these (and they are my front/side teeth) Which look and feel fabulous. Dr. Lockwood is cautious and a perfectionist. He is not going to say something is done unless it is perfect. He also has a fabulous staff ...very very caring! Can't imagine ever going to anyone else....

The best dentist I have ever had. I am a pharmacist and Dr. Lockwood is the most knowlegable practicioner I could recommend to the San Diego at large

I've been a patient since he bought the practice 28 years ago from Dr. Glen Doughty.
The office is spotlessly clean, extremely well organized, and always ready to help solve dental problems.
Dr. Lockwood is conservative in his approach - not eager to drill or pull teeth - and that saves angst and money. These savings are offset by prices a bit higher than some others and definitely more than what our dental plan wants to pay.
About Hygienist: Pat is a great hygenist although I always fear going in because I don't floss like I should. She gets the teeth and gums thoroughly cleaned and sparkling, while trying to minimize the pain.

A great dentist with tremendous people working in the office. Longtime employees - it says a lot. Superb skills, excellent work, and premium care for the patient - never over-diagnoses. This is a well-scheduled office; in 25 years, I've NEVER waited past my appt. time to get in the chair. They work on time and put in the proper time to do the job right. A bit pricier than most dentists, but well worth it. They work with me on payment, since my dental plans change frequently, and as a longtime customer they let me pay with installments if times are tough.

Dr. Lockwood has been my dentist since 1995. When I first went to him I had some serious problems with my teeth. He has done 7 crowns and fillings on nearly every tooth I have. One of the most important things for me was his care in administering novacaine, half the time you don't even feel it going in. All his work is fantastic and once I had one of his fillings come out, he fixed it for free. I always get a birthday card and periodic reminders for cleaning. Linda (receptionist) is awsome and remembers who I am when I call in. Pat is a fantastic hygienist and is always polite.

I have gone to Dr. Lockwood for over 20 years and have had everything done with my mouth. He worked with Dr. Sottosanti (who did my impants) to achieve the best results. Dr. Lockwood did the finishing job with crowns and it came out beautiful (front teeth). All the work I have had over the years has been exceptional - he is very gentle and very caring and takes great pride in his work - he is always available on weekends when I have had emergencies - his office staff is exceptional and they all really feel like family. I can't imagine every having to go to another dentist.
