Dr. James Misla (he changed the spelling of his last name years ago) is an extremely competent dentist. His office is state-of-the-art and front desk staff very competent. I highly recommend him as a general dentist for anyone.
About Hygienist: Dr. Misla does much of his own hygienist work. However, the people who assist him are very pleasant and competent.

Dr. Misla is by far the best dentist I have ever had. He has a sharp mind, with complete knowledge of all the pertinent facts and research, as well as having the gentlest and most dextrous hand. I don't even know when he has given me a shot. He also has the best bedside manner. And, of course, he has a great sense of humor. Do yourself a favor, and get an appointment with him.

Doctor Misleh is a very nice person. He likes to make a connection with his patients and always try to get them relaxed. The facility is nice too. If there is a problem at all, I don't he has got the best aides. He certainly could do with a better assistant. His work is good, may not be first-class, but good and is affordable.

I think Dr.Misleh does a great job and does it diligently. I have never felt like I have been asked to have procedures done unnecessarily which seems to be the case with many other dentists. He has state of the art tech. and answers all questions well. I have moved away from his office, but I intend to retain Dr.Misleh as my dentist even if it means a longer drive.

Dr. Misla is the best. I have been to several dentists in San Diego - it is amazing how much dentistry is a business, looking for ways to add a little extra to their bottom line. Not Dr. Misla!
With Dr. Misla, I have found someone whose concern is for my dental health and nothing more. He takes time to explain everything, is always up to date on the best practices based on research, has state of the art equipment (very high tech suites). He's also probably the finest diagnostician in San Diego, and he has the gentlest and most skilled hands. Oh, and his staff is the best - all professional in the extreme!
For a while I had no insurance and Dr. Misla was so cool about it. He sat down with me and worked out a plan that his accountant has got to think is crazy. All that and a bag o' chips!

My family left Dr. Misla's office when we lost our dental coverage, and we went to an HMO office. What a mistake. It was going to cost us much more for much less than we had at Dr. Misla's.
Dr. Misla's office welcomed us back with open arms, and they are making us good deals for cash payment so that we can afford the care without paying for outrageous insurance.
Dr. Misla uses the utmost in technology, and his whole staff is skilled and friendly. We rarely had to wait in the lobby for an appointment or in the chair for care.
If you are looking for a dentist who has integrity and loyalty, and whose only fault may be that he's TOO friendly... this is your guy. After getting burned, I appreciate him all the more.
