dr. is great his assistants at chair are great one or two of the women working at the front desk must learn to be decent caring people as well thes couple are cold hard and after all they are nobodies and have no reason to be styck up dr. do yourself a favor get rid of these two bob cruice

I knew Dr. Schmidt when he was on college ave in San Diego.
When he moved to Oceanside i followed him there. I live in Santee but the drive is more than worth the care I get from Dr. Schmidt & his staff. He knows how fearful I am of dental work & he & his staff makes sure I'm treated with Kitt gloves. I had a root canal done not too long ago & received the twilight sleep & I felt absolutely no pain. I would recommend Dr. Schmidt to anyone, whether or not you have a fear of Dental work or not. They are absolutely the best. My granddaughter went to see him for the first time today & she feels the exact same way I do. She had a check up & cleaning & she said it was the best experience she's ever had with a Dentist. I've been with dr. schmidt for approx 6 years. i was with him when his office was by san diego state university. when he moved i thought i could just stay with the dentist that took over his office, but when i started getting a tooth ache that wouldn't go away i called him in oceanside, ca. it's a good 40 min from my home, but my peace of mind going to him is worth it. i needed a root canal & was petrified. he assured me that i would be fine & gave me some type of gas that literally put me in la la land. i felt absolutely nothing. he doesn't make me feel like an idiot because i'm so frightened. him & his whole staff treated me with the utmost respect & compassion. i'd go to him if he was in los angeles, he's that good.

He is amazing and so very understanding of people with dental phobias. I came to him after over 2 years of no dental visits and with a horrible dental phobia. From the first visit, he took good care of me - very sensitive to dental phobias and does it with good-natured humor. Very much puts you at ease and is also highly competent at what he does. Excellent dentist that I would highly recommend to ANYONE.

i recieved excellent treatment for a crown and root canal. i would reccomend him to anyone. excellent service.

When I lost my insurance coverage my brother referred me to Dr. Schmidt. The cost is even better because the work is done right the first time with fewer appointments thus saving copay for each visit. Dr. Schmidt listened to my concerns and fears and did a lot of much needed work on my teeth with no pain and at an affordable rate. I wish Dr. Schmidt had been around when I was growing up; he would have saved me from unnecessary work on my teeth and from a lot of pain I endured. Dr. Schmidt enlightened me to some affordable solutions to some cosmetic issues I have with my teeth that I never knew about. I never have to wait more than a few minutes to see him and appointments are scheduled as quickly as possible. The staff is very pleasant, ethical and professional. There isn't the usual and annoying joking and chatter among the staff that is unwelcomed when one is having their teeth worked on. I have been able to pay as I have work done because it is affordable. Also, I had a fear of having my teeth cleaned, if you can imagine, and requested Novocaine and Dr. Schmidt and his hygienist were very accommodating. My experience at Dr. Schmidt's office has been so positive I will return for regular check-ups and cleanings with no problem.

Dr. Schmidt took over for Dr. Berry and it's a perfect fit.

I have seen a bunch of dentists over the years and Dr. Schmidt is by far the best I have ever seen. He takes care of you as a person, is caring and compassionate. My children have also been going to him since they were two years old (oldest is now 8). He is wonderful with the children. He keeps them very comfortable, doesn't force anything that would scare them and has his own lingo for the kids that make them actually enjoy the visit. At the end he gives the kids a new toothbrush and timer to help them lean how long to brush, then they get to pick a small prize from his treasure chest. My husband also had an implant that was very successful and looks great. I would recommend Dr. Schmidt for patients of all ages.

Dr. Schmidt is the most wonderful dentist. He treats you like a friend not a patient.
