Dr. Hovden came highly recommended by a friend. I wasn't disappointed, as he was very thorough and well educated on the latest news and developments in his field. He has a website that patients and prospective patients could check out, as well as a newsletter that is mailed to patients on a quarterly basis. You'll feel like you're part of a community at Dr. Hovden's office.

Ken Hovden is, above all else, a perfectionist. I was referred to him by a friend who runs a dental lab. I asked who is the best dentist you have ever worked with and he said Ken Hovden. Dr. Hovden loves dentistry. It is like he is doing a hobby that he truly enjoys. He teaches at numerous professional seminars and is also on the clinical faculty at University of the Pacific. He has won two gold medals at a national peer reviewed cosmetic dentistry competition. He is a gadget freak and has the very latest in low dose digital x ray gear, several lasers for bone and gum work and high quality Zeiss microscopes and other optics. He has an eye for what looks right and tolerates nothing less than perfect. If a crown is imperceptably the wrong shade it goes back to the lab. Even his temporary caps and crowns look great. He is highly skilled as a general dentist but has a specialty in cosmetic restorative dentistry. If you just need general work you still benefit from his cosmetic skills as everything will look great. Dr. Hovden's parents were both dentists. Its in his blood. It isnt just a way to make it good living to him, its a calling and one that he takes very seriously. He is a nice guy and cares about patients. Great staff too!
