Read Reviews for Dr. David Alwyn
Dr Alwyn was able to help me safely remove old mercury fillings at my request and also did a very nice bridge for me. I have been coming to Dr Alwyn for many years, he has the experience, the know how, the care that sets him apart from other doctors and he is the true embodiment of success in combining latest techniques plus old fashioned patient care.

He is fantastic!
In additon to being holistic he fixed the crowns I had for 20 years that have loooked horrible from the very beginning. I went from looking like some blue metal was stuck over my crowns and under my gums(in the front teeth!) to having what look like REAL TEETH!
My only regret is that I did not do this earlier. For twenty years I have been worrying about the decay the old crowns were causing due to the huge gap between my gums and the roots of my teeth.
In addition they were causing a battery effect because of the nickel they contained!?! I am amazed he was able to do anything with what he was working with, but yet they look real. I cannot begin to say how happy I am.
Since he is holistic, I can rest easy knowing my kids are getting the least- toxic dental care that is available. Unfortunately, the insurance companies do not cover the materials he uses. I do not think that is his fault, but unfortunately it does make him expensive.
Read up on holistic dentistry if you think you think it is not worth it. The materials most dentists use can cause long term health problems that are way more expensive in more than just money. It is too bad that only people with enough money can afford it!

Dr. Alwyn is a very good specialist but he is a little strung out and sometimes loses pace. Overall i recomend him.

I had crowns done 20 years ago that were HORRIBLE. I was told (by that dentist, mind you) that my gums were too sensitive or something, and that was why there was a big gap between the crowns and my gums and this weird blue/black stuff that made me feel like I looked inhuman.Ever since those were put in I had strange feelings like there were bubbles or something going on in there but now I was terrified of dentists....
I was concerned Dr. Alwyn would not be able to do much, since it seemed that the gums receded away from the first crowns from the very beginning, and I was sure there must be enormous decay, too, and so I was worried it would limit how well he could make the new ones look. I have them now, and it took many visits to make sure it was just right, but they look like REAL TEETH!! I look in the mirror at them all of the time now marveling at them. Not only that but the ones he removed not only had the usual mercury, but Nickel too, so there was a battery effect going on in my mouth that whole time! My kids are so happy because I no longer have scary black stuff behind my front teeth(which was the first thing they checked). On top of all that he is also a holistic dentist! Yay! Absolutely worth the money.
