Over Charged. Very rude, called my daughter liar!!! Will never go back again. We chose him because he is very close to our house. But everytime my daughter does a check up, the bill is over 100 dollars after dental insurance. Last year, he found 8 cavities in my daughter's teeth. He said my daughter didn't brush her teeth and drink too much soda and gum. My daughter told him she is brushing her teeth twice a day, and already tried to avoid soda and gum. He then called her a liar. That's too rude to a young girl.

He is great. I am extremely nervous at the dentist and he makes you relax. The staff is really nice too. He even came in on a Sunday at no extra charge to see my son who had broken several teeth in an accident.
About Hygienist: The hygenists are great. It's almost relaxing!

Great guy! Came in on his day off and opened the office for me when I had an emergency and he did not even charge me! GREAT for kids. Friendly and makes patients feel at ease. I have had some BAD experiences with other dentists but after having Fr. Rottjakob I do not have to worry ever again.

Constant pain and poor results describe my treatment by Dr. Rottjakob.
After persistent ,cheerful urging over a period of several months by this dentist and his staff, I was finally persuaded to replace my perfectly trouble free veneers. The results were poorly placed teeth including one made loose that caused relentless pain and sleepless nights. The once welcoming staff suddenly became cold and distant. A series of dentists in San Jose referred by Dr Rottjakob were vague, inconclusive and expensive.
Bottom line, 4 months of pain and over $11,000.00 later (including overpriced veneers), dentists outside San Jose determined that teeth didn't fit correctly and that the veneers hit too close to the bone in my jaw. I am left with a loose front tooth and am unable to eat hard bread or apples etc but the pain has diminished since the teeth were drilled down. I will still need to correct the veneers too close to the bone but need to rest the traumatized teeth before attempting corrective sugery.
I deeply regret being a patient of Dr. Rottjakob.

Very interested in dental disease prevention and retention of existing teeth. Maintains latest equipment. Is painless.

The front desk staff is very nasty. They send out misleading ads, and then book appointments for more than the ad offers. They also charge you for missing appointments.

He offers practical advices, values our personal care, and educates me on services/procedures done in office. Often, I ask questions, and he or the hygienist allows me to choose the option that is important to me.
