I saw Dr. Knuut a few years ago. She did a root canal. Put a stretcher in my mouth to manually open it - with a dental dam streched across that -, put a gown on me and made me wear safety glasses - then she drilled for a few minutes and kept leaving the room for LONG amounts of time. Her assistant left too and I couldn't talk or swallow. It is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I would never go back to her again. The actual root canal was okay but the lack of connection with the person in the chair was not good.

Dr. Knuut is very good. I am a super chicken when it comes to dentists. Have had VERY bad experiences. Thought I would absolutely die when faced with a root canal. So far I have had four of them from Anne. She is really great and I highly recommend her. You might try wearing headphones. Instead of "relaxing" music (which is a loosing battle anyway), play your favorite aerobic workout music. Something that drowns out everything :-)
