Dr. Ben treats all my family. He is a very competent Dentist. He is a solo practitioner so you get the benefit of a fully qualified and experienced Dentist doing the Hygiene work.He does Hygiene because he likes it and Dentistry still fascinates him despite decades in Practice. He will find the tiniest issues and rectify them easily ,long before they become a problem.He keeps a 'watching brief' on potential issues .This way there are no painful/expensive surprises.
Yes he is a little unconventional. He keeps bees -but not in the surgery! He rides a motor cycle. He is an oracle of knowledge on the most eclectic assortment of subjects .No he won't discus the superficialities while he treats you and the office is bare bones but you will get great treatment at a very reasonable price.Just ask him about bees!

1st experience with Dr, Jeffries ..I was to town. My son's braces snapped a wire. Needed a dentist ASAP. Was a late Friday afternoon (4 PM or so?). Dr. Jeffries said come right over. We did, got fixed.
I have now used Dr. Jeffries for both my children and myself (teeth-cleaning, cavities, etc). He is a one-man show, so don't expect a bunch of bustling employees. What you get is a thoroughly professional and insightful dentist. I've spoken to others who use him and are knowledgeable. They say Dr. Jeffries dental work is of the highest quality.
All the above being said, Dr. Ben is quirky, and not everybody has a tolerance for this. Buyer beware.

I have been going to him since he came to sierra madre, but now I am changing to a new dentist, as he gives of a very negative vibe and he is the only one there. I think his practice is so small he can't even afford a receptionist, which makes me wonder if he even has adequate equipment and insurance. Find someone else..

Dr. Ben is a Dentist's dentist. He is a total geek of Dentistry. His meticulous attention to dental detail is both a wonder and a source of amazement. Like most geek types ,he is not everybody's personal favorite style -but the dentistry is superb. Ignore the disorganized office ,the casual style the eccentricities - just enjoy knowing you are getting the very best dentist at a great price.

Dr. Jeffries runs his office solo. In regards to cleaning my teeth; Dr. Jeffries is the most thorough dentist I have ever encountered. Dr. Jeffries did a crown for me several years ago. Looking at the crown he replaced versus the new one he provided it was clear that his craftmanship was superior, almost perfectionistic. As Jeffries practice is small it is very easy to get an appointment at short notice. This is a very professional dentist providing superior work in a low key environment. I highly recommend.

The best dentist that I ever been too! Dr. Jeffries has the best dentist chair manner, always explains the procedures before he actually starts!
