Let me describe my frustrating experience: I was the retired Dr. Sendoff’s patient and first time visited to Dr. Markogiannakis on November 7th. I came ONLY for evaluation regarding my broken tooth. Dr. Markogiannakis said that it is hopeless and referred me to another doctor which is fine. What is not fine is that although she spent on me less than 4 minutes, and no procedure was performed (she just looked into my mouth with her naked eye) but on my way out I was charged $100. I could not believe this and asked the nurse to go back to Dr. Markogiannakis and double check this. She came our telling me that Dr. Markogiannakis confirmed that for the “exam” I owe $100. There is exam and exam. I do not know the quality of Dr. Markogiannakis as a dentist but to charge a new patient $100 for a less than 4 minutes conversation is not a correct thing. I urge you to think twice whether you want to visit such a dentist.

She completed a fill in and was wonderful. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and has wonderful bedside manner. I have recommended many to her practice.

About Hygienist: I love Jamie! She is friendly and loves to do her job. She is gentle but makes sure that you have a thorough cleaning.

Dr. Marko performed a very deep filling on my second bicuspid. Due to it being done correctly I have had no residual pain or sensitivity. In addition, after a significant procedure she will often call herself to check on my condition and always provides impeccable chair-side manners. Further considerations are that the office is clean, they accept my dental insurance and the staff is extremely personable. My experiences thus far honestly result in a high endorsement for Dr. Marko and Smiles of Chevy Chase!

Dr. Marko was very calming and talked me through everything she was doing to help keep my anxiety level low. She was very patient and let me sit a couple of extra minutes after the novocaine shots to make sure I was completely numb. The procedures were relatively painless compared to what I had anticipated. She's a fantastic dentist that really makes sure her patients feel comfortable and taken care of.

She is excellent. The temporary crown gave me no trouble and the permanent one is just right. Dr. Marko believes in pain-free dentistry. She has a low-key, friendly manner which I like a lot. I feel very comfortable going to her. She has a great staff. Overall, I highly recommend her.

About Front Desk: The front desk staff is very good. Lisa is especially nice and helpful when it comes to scheduling and insurance.

Great experience!! Comfortable atmosphere, beautiful modern office. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Dr. Marko is extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions and thoroughly explained my options and procedures. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Marko is awesome! I had two fillings done and it was a breeze. She is gentle and aware of her patients. I highly recommend.

Dr. Marko has been taking care of my girls and me for a while now. She is very gentle and explains all procedures. She is kind, courteous and extremely professional. I would recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Marko is one of the finest examples of a dedicated, talented, hard working professional I have known. She is honest, and will explain your options to you without bias. She is a perfectionist about her results and will make sure she delivers the very best result possible. How she balances a family, work, and running a business with such aplomb, is a constant source of amazement to me. I would recommend Dr. Markogiannakis to anyone seeking an excellent dentist for a long term professional relationship. She cares about you and your dental needs equally.

About Front Desk: Lisa makes the office run. She remembers everything about you and is truly delighted to welcome you to the office. Once a patient, she will treat you like part of the family. Knows your kids names and where you went on vacation. She cannot do enough to facilitate filing your insurance claims and is the smiling front desk ambassador to the entire office.

About Hygienist: Jamie is a terrific hygienist. Her knowledge of her profession is top notch and she makes the entire visit not just pleasant but actually fun. She has wonderful dexterity and a wonderful sense of humor. She will take great care of your teeth!
