The doctor is experienced, he knows a lot and very good with fillings.
The equipment and office could be newer.
It is not easy to schedule appointments and get booked, and the doctor is sotimes in a rush.
The results were mixed.

Overall, I do not recommend Dr. Gallagher.
He is fast, but I had to replace some of the fillings that he worked on - they did not last too long.
The office equipment is outdated, hygiene procedures are not fully followed and dental supplies seem outdated.

He is fast and painless! He also accommodates emergencies--a recent emergency root canal when I needed to leave for China within hours. He also took excellent and gentle care of my 90-year old mother who needed complicated dental services.
About Hygienist: Hygienist and dental assistants are experienced, thorough and extremely competent.

Dr Gallagher is professional, gentle and thorough.
He has taken care of my family for more than 15 years.
I recently went to a Delta Dental dentist, got estimate of $600 copay for 3 fillings plus major gum work. Dr Gallagher found no need for fillings and a cleaning dealt with gum work.
Has done emergency work for my wife, daughter and myself. He always solves the problem with minimal pain.
A plus is that he is into use of environmentally friendly techniques such as ozone treatment in place of antibiotics.
Overall great dentist.

my friend recommended Dr. Gallagher to me when i first moved to the Sunnyvale area back in 1986. Currently i reside in Santa Rosa, but I'm willing to make the drive down to mtn. View to see Dr. Gallagher and his staff. Not only does his staff provide great service, but he's a great dentist

I was looking for a mercury free dentist and had one bad experience already, so was a little concerned. A friend recommneded this dentist, and I trust her. Unfortunately, she can zone out and escape through meditation and I didn't have that luxury. I found him to be rushing through the whole thing, with horrible bedside manner....I asked him to explain what he was doing, so I could understand, and he couldn't be bothered.... (I had a root canal, so this was a long a arduous process) and quite frankly it felt like going to Attila the Hun. Lucky for me, in the last 2 months, I have found a wonderful mercury free dentist in Los Gatos now and am super happy, Dr Richard Evans.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gallagher since I was a child! They are great about billing insurance. The staff is very kind. I have a very difficult time at the dentist, and they really work with me to make me comfortable. I use nitrous oxide for all my dental work, and they are great about it.
While they are not specifically a pediatric dental facility, they also are great with my kids. While the office isn't convenient for me, I still use their services, just because of the quality of their treatment.

I tried a few other dentists in the past in the area, but he is the best in terms of quality of dental work he performed. Painless and accuracy of work. No pain/swollen and quick heal after root canal, wisdom tooth extraction whereas pain/long healing time with other dentists! The other dentists basically broke a few of my teeth and he fixed them as well. Cost may be fairly higher, but given the quality of work he provides, it is worthwhile. Facilty is very clean and beach report atmosphere, and dental hygienists are also very friendly and professional. Only negative feedback is that it is hard to be connected by phone. Always transferred to telephone exchange office and hard to make an appointment and get a call back.

Dr G is certainly one of the best dentists in California. Thanks to him I am now mercury free. What is rare about Dr Gallagher is that he is on the cutting edge of holistic technology. His decisions are made on what would be best for the patient instead of what would best for the dentist, like the majority of them. You can't do better!
