Read Reviews for Dr. Gordon Block
I have had 5 root canals done by Dr. Block and one re-treatment of a pre-existing root canal by another endodontist and I can't recommend him highly enough.
From start to finish the care I have received has been professional, courteous and his front office has been nothing but helpful with billing my insurance and setting up payment plans (at no interest) when my insurance maximum has been reached.
Dr. Block is especially good when dealing with my phobia regarding dental visits in general and wonderful at administering novocaine!
I wish he could do all of my dentistry, however as his front desk & assistants kindly told me "He only does root canals". And what a job he does!!!

I had a retreatment of a failing root canal on my lower right molar. I had already paid for such treatment by a prior endodontist and had to have a surgical procedure to remove the root tip at another office when the infection continued.
All signs pointed towards "cracked tooth syndrome" which occurs frequently in teeth that are "non-viable" otherwise known as "root canaled".
I asked Dr. Block, when he offered the third treatment to the tooth I had already spent thousands of dollars upon if he thought there was a "good" chance that it would "save my tooth". He said "yes" so I agreed to the expensive procedure once again.
It did not work- immediately nor for weeks following the treatment. The tooth was a "goner" and I now needed a $3000 bridge plus the extraction.
When I did not see that it was fair to pay the entire amount of his substantial bill based upon his estimate that there was a "good" chance to save the tooth, which in retrospect had a fracture through the front root and was most likely unsavable, something a specialist would have a good idea about prior to treatment, he requested that I "send him the tooth" in order to dismiss the balance following my initial $250 payment.
It was the most morbid request.
