I have been a patient of Steve's since I was a freshman in high school. He took the practice over from another, very scary dentist. My husband & my niece & brother also use him. We like his down to earthness and he's a great dentist. B4 Steve I was always scared to death of the dentist, as the other guy never used anything to deaden b4 drilling for a cavity. Thank God for Steve!!!!!
About Hygienist: HIs is his own receptionis and hygientist and just a great dentist in general. He is a very funny guy also, which helps with the whole dentist going thing.

I've had Dr. Newman as my dentist for about 10 years. Dr. Newman has an unusual practice. He's the only staff so does his own booking, he's also your hygienist, etc. I've had cleanings and checkups with him, as well as a root canal and crown. He also does orthodontics.
He's got a very calm demeanor with a very dry and funny sense of humor. He has always seemed extremely knowledgable about the pros and cons of various procedures, materials, etc. Seems somewhat of a "geek" in terms of the technical and scientific issues and with low tolerance for marketing hype, which inspires confidence (in other words, he seems passionate and serious about what he does for a living). He's thorough and gentle, and also is conservative about his recommendations (for instance, he recommended against my buying an expensive whitening procedure that he does because there is in his opinion a cheaper and just as effective alternative that can be bought in a store. Truly seems to put his patients first. He's got low overhead, and while I don't do too much price shopping for dentists, I've found his prices very reasonable. Note: He doesn't take credit cards. I recommend him without any reservations at all.
