run!!! a rip off. my new dentist says many procedures that were performed by dr mulvany were not medically necessary. I paid thousands out of pocket due to incorrect information submitted to insurance.
About Hygienist: the hygienists turn around is high. I rarely had the same one twice. they were good but could not develope a relationship because they would leave after 6 months

I've been seeing Dr. Mulvany almost exclusively since I was 6 years old. He's been nothing if not excellent. When I had to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed he even referred me to a maxillo-facial (sp?) surgeon to do the work and told me flat out it would be better work than he could do for me since one tooth was basically sideways. The Dr. he recommended was very good as well. Acacia Dental in general is a good place to have your teeth worked on.
About Hygienist: I had the same Hygienist for about 6 years and she recently left and was replaced with another woman who is equally adept and very pleasant.

Be careful! Dr. Mulvaney is either very good or very bad. I ended up in the hospital because of too much lidocaine. On a totally separate unrelated visit my cousin ended up in the hospital and nearly died. Both these instances were caused by 2 separate hygienists working under Dr. Mulvaney. In both cases Dr. Mulvaney only cared about covering himself (lied to cover up) and not the welfare of his patients.
About Hygienist: The hygienist was very friendly but completely incompetent.

I started going to this dentist with my br at the time. He has been going for years. I have been going for about a year. I love it. Everybody is always very nice. Not painful. Not really expensive. I plan on taking my 3 year old son there as well.
