My experience with Dr. Teitelbaum was extremely negative and I have filed an official complaint against him because of his treatment of me:
---I experienced extreme pain from him and then he chuckled about it
---he either misdiagnosed my problem or augmented it...the xray he took before he worked on my tooth showed no crack, but part way through he took another xray which showed a crack and he stopped the root canal
---he took cash payment for his work and gave me a signed receipt for that amount; later his receptionist said I had not paid the amount on the receipt and offered to write me a new receipt for the lower amount
---the amount on the form sent into the insurance company had the lower amount, and the procedure was not listed as a root canal but a general form of dental therapy...this was not accepted as a coverable procedure by the insurance company
---all this has resulted in thousands of dollars of expense...extraction of the tooth and restoration~replacement

A great experience overall. Dr. Teitelbaum really tried to help me with the cost of this and didn't throw on extra fes. The facilities were pleasant w/ lots of reading material, pleasant music, nice chairs. The decorating could use a little work (there was a brown rug on the wall, though it wasn't all that bad). The equipment was very up to date (or at least it looked very new and high-tech. The customer service was really the best. Dr. Teitelbaum called juust to check in on me. The staff were friendly and girls at the desk were attentive. Dr. Teitelbaum was very kind but obviously people weren't really waiting on my hand and foot the whole time. It wasn't stressful. The process was explained to me and Dr. Teitelbaum was very friendly. The treatment was completely successful and my tooth is perfect. Overall an excellent experience from what I thought was a very competent dentist.
