Dr. Richeson has completely changed my view of going to the dentist (an experience I have dreaded for most of my life). After I chipped my tooth I was reluctantly asking all my friends which dentist I should go to. I was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr. Richeson.
The most challenging part of my treatment was actually making the initial phone call to schedule an appointment. Once speaking to the friendly receptionist I was set at ease: I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Richeson that same week. Treatment was painless, straightforward and enlightening as, for the first time, I felt that I was with a doctor who understood my anxiety. Dr. Richeson took his time to thoroughly explain each aspect of what I learned to be a simple and painless procedure. He was kind enough to answer each of my 100 questions and at no time did I feel rushed or in a hurry, an issue I commonly had with my previous dentist.
Thank you Dr. Richeson for fixing my chipped tooth!!!

Very communicative. If I ask, he'll actually give me an interesting running narration describing what he is doing. Considering that a fair amount of craftsmanship is necessary in general dentistry, I'm reassured that he takes great pride in his work. He is very easy to talk to.
I particularly like being able to email him and get a prompt thoughtful response.
He aligned my bite, redid some existing bridgework, capped some implants, did all the normal cleaning and chased a cavity or two (mostly redoing aging fillings).
I'm not keen on the anesthetic shots. Fortunately he takes his time and will stage the numbing process to cause the least discomfort possible.
I have no reservations about the cleanliness and quality of his office and equipment.
AFAIK he doesn't take any dental insurance but he gives you a general form with the procedures itemized. MAMSI seems happy with that form even though I have to file the claim myself.
His prices are in line with other general practice dentists in the upper Northwest. I checked out a few other dentists before settling on Dr. Richeson.
About Hygienist: He doesn't use one -- for which I am grateful. I have the notion that cleaning forces a very close inspection of my teeth and gums -- which is the object of the exercise!
