Dr. Alexandra Thomson is absolutely awesome. Dr. Thomson and team always met my expectations to include great general dentistry, great specialty care, pain-free experiences, very kid-friendly, accommodating for the busy professional, and never, ever administrative (billing) problems (kudos Karen). Though I have now re-located to NC, I give gladly my highest recommendation to Dr. Alexandra Thomson (Dr. Bouchard) and Team. Well done, Dr. T and All. Very well done.

I have had a good experience with this dentist - seems competent, good bedside manner etc. However, I have not needed any complex procedures - just routine exams and cleaning.

Dr. Thomson and her staff are extremely polite and professional. I never have to wait longer than five minutes in the waiting room before being seen by a hygienist. The office is very comfortable and all records are kept electronically Dr. Thomson is very personable and is an extremely competent dentist.

Dr. Thomson and everyone at Capitol Hill Dental Group are friendly and efficient. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Appointment times were flexible and when I came back for fillings, Dr. Thomson even stayed past office hours to finish all the fillings so that I wouldn't have to come back for another appointment. She completed the fillings quickly and the process was the most pain-free I have experienced.
Their equipment is all very new and advanced. Dr. Thomson did an excellent job of explaining what was wrong and various procedures without making me feel guilty for every cavity as some dentists tend to do. She gave good advice for how to avoid future problems and also provided a recommendation for a great ENT doctor in the area.
The only downside was the price. My insurance has minimal dental coverage, and the fillings were very expensive out-of-pocket. Despite that, the facilities, great care, and friendly customer service might be well worth the cost.
Overall, I had an excellent experience at Capitol Hill Dental and I give it a high recommendation. Just be sure you know the cost and your insurance coverage before going in.

Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Thompson has not been positive. She works with the dentist who originally signed me on, Dr. Bouchard at Capitol Hill Dental Associates, and I've had to see her when he's been out (which he has been increasingly). The last time, she charged me to put back in their inlay that had fallen out. I was just so ready to get out of there that I paid it so as not to have to deal with the hassle. Now the inlay has again come ajar. I do not plan to return to them and do not recommend.

Everyone who works in this office is friendly. The dental assistants are gentle, and Dr. Thompson has a wonderful attitude. I have been afraid of dentists most of my life from having seen bad ones, but once I saw Dr. Thompson, I realized that a dental experience doesn't have to be terrifying. I highly recommend the Capitol Hill Dental Group.
