Over the years I've had two root canals and my spouse had one preformed by Dr. Topcik. On Tuesday, 11/03/2010, He examined a painful tooth, which had been crowned by another dentist less than six weeks ago. He quickly determined the cause of the pain and I was out the door in less than 30 minutes. He is my go to Endodontists.. I recommend him to all our friends.

I have had to use Dr. Topcik several times for treatment. Having
heard nightmares about root canals, I was scared and put my
1st RC off for almost a year. After seeing Dr. T., I was pleasantly surprised. The office staff was very friendly and put me at ease. Dr. T was very professional and gentle. He was
concerned about my treatment and addressed my fears as well. It was a painless experience. My insurance was filed and
I just had to pay my portion. I would highly recommend Dr. Topcik to anyone needing endodontic care. Dr. Topcik
and his experienced staff were a pleasure to work with.

I was a patient; had a root canal; had 3 followup visits, during each I was told everything was fine. The last visit , a year after the root canal (and my tooth was still as sore as before the root canal), Dr. Topcik said I should "get on with life."
My periodontist then found that I had infection (which he surmised had been there all along) and a crack in the tooth which, ostensibly, had been there all along as well.
I requested some rebate from Dr. Topcik; he refused me.
In all fairness to him, the root canal was probably done correctly, but should never have been done, with the tooth being in the state that it was.
Now I'm undergoing a $3,000 tooth removal, bone graft and implant.
Never would I have spent some $1700 (endodontist & dentist charges) for a "maybe" fix, when $3000 would have done the job permanently.
