Read Reviews for Dr. Hugh Allen
I first called Dr. Allens office to have a cleaning done. They told me that for first time visitors x-rays would be needed and a consultation would be done for the first visit. Since I hadn't been to the dentist in awhile I agreed to this. They did the x-rays and during the consultation the Dr. told me that I had 14 cavities and the start of gum disease! He said he couldn't do the cleaning untill all of this work was complete. He told me the toothache that I was having was from my wisdom teeth and they needed to be removed before he could do anything else. I had my bottom wisdom teeth removed that week and I still had a toothache. When I returned to the Dr. he told me that my tooth was still hurting because I needed a root canal. During a very painful root canal (I told him twice that he was hurting me) I was getting more and more frustrated with him and his nurse. When he was finishished I asked for my records so that I could see another Dentist. With a great deal of attitude I was given my records. He used up all of my insurance money for the entire year! I went to a new dentist in my area and had my x-rays done again and my teeth cleaned (finally), and asked him about the cavities. This dentist assured me that I have NONE!!
