Dr. Lilia (first names are used, since there are about 5 "Dr. Shaeffer"s in the office) was wonderful. I've never had a more satisfying dental experience. The entire office is decorated with antique-looking furniture, very eclectic while remaining very tasteful. Dr. Lilia has great "chair-side" manners, at once being very personable and professional. She explains what she's doing and why, and will even show you exactly what she's talking about - she keeps a handheld mirror handy for patients to view their own mouths as she indicates what she's looking at. It's quite apparent that she's good at what she does; she knows how to do the needed procedures with the least pain possible in the least invasive way possible. I had to have 4 fillings, and she only had to give me one shot - that's saying something, as I required upwards of 3 at my previous dentist for only 2 fillings. The hygienist was also very professional, and did a very thorough job without causing undue pain. The younger woman at the front desk could have been a bit more courteous, but the others were quite personable. In all I was quite satisfied with the experience; and since they accept my insurance, it didn't cost much at all.

All the Dr. Shaeffer dentists are the best. They have taken care of our family for years. My sister had her implant done and I had veneers. We are both very happy. The whole family are dentists, a total of eight I think. That always amazes me. I've met 5 of them and they were all great. I would never go to another dentist.

This is a family owned and operated business. These guys are absolutely wonderful people! Their staff is very friendly, professional, and have always provided me with the most concern of being comfortable when I come in for visits. They are always very open and honest about what services are needed for your teeth. I have always honestly felt that they offer any recommendations for my teeth to be in my best interest instead of what would be more profitable for them. You will not find a better caring dentist practice here in jacksonville!!!

Ms. Shaeffer is a great dentist, I had her through my old insurance and wish I could go back. She's great for cowards if you don't like having dental work done. It was kind of expensive, but then again that's probably my insurance's fault!
