I have a large fear of dentists and doctor mayo was aware of this. he lost his patience with me after my tooth broke in many pieces and he had trouble getting them out. he then told me I was making to much noise so it was impairing his ability
to work. as soon as he finished the procedure he left the room and never came back to see how I was or to tell me how to care for the wound for the next 24 hours. I have 5 more teeth that need root canals he can't deal with those. this is what he is supposed to be so good at . I am a 68 year old. woman
that needed understanding gentle dentist that can be professional enough not to walk on me ,
I understand this is not the first time doctor mayo has lost his patience with his customers . I always thought you were supposed to be more concerned with your patients than yourself !

Dr. Mayo will not tell you that you need work done unless you really do need work done.

I have been going to Dr. Mayo for thirty years, starting when I first needed a crown. He has done other crowns for me, and more recently did bonding on my top front teeth to correct a chipped tooth. It was far less money than veneers and looks as good. He is particularly sensitive to whether a patient feels anything and makes sure pain is not felt during a procedure.
About Front Desk: Linda is professional and friendly.
About Hygienist: Karen is wonderful as a hygienist.

I'm 46yrs old now.. I've been going to Dr. Mayo since I was 8 or 9 yrs old.. he's 42 yrs in practice and still AWESOME!! I moved to Vegas 15yrs ago and came back about a 1 1/2 yrs ago.. last week i had extreme tooth pain and now an abcess (not fun..) i called his HOME # thats on his office machine and he met me Sat. on his own.. who else does that?!?!? .. He's still there, still a great dentist and remembered me after a 15yr absence... I'm grateful he's still in practice and I don't have to find a replacement!! Highly recommend him!!

Dr. Mayo is most caring, genuine, concerned about each patient. Takes time to diagram & explain procedure. I have lived in 15 cities and had different dentist in each.....he is the most skilled, thorough dentist. If he is not skilled and knowledgeable in an involved procedure, he is ready to recommend one he has had experience with personally & well qualified. You most likely will NOT find a better dentist you can count on. My husband and I have had: crowns, lots of different teeth restorations over the years, pins, root canal etc. Never feel any pain...other than when novacain is necessary --and that's just the needle going in. The office staff is thorogh and doesn't rush you. Dr. Mayo's 'chair side manners' are thought provoking (that's a very positive thing), friendly, concerned about you (asks at times during the procedure " how we doing... you okay?"
