I've been a patient of Dr. Richard Lage, DDS for about 8 years. I rarely keep dentists for that long, but this one is exceptional. He's graduated from the best dental school in the US. In the office of Dr. Lage they make you feel at home. The Dr. is very professional and friendly. Integrity is what comes to mind when I think of how they treat me there. The office staff is as good as the Dr. They're never in a hurry when taking care of me, and anything that's needed is explained to me while looking at it on the computer screen. Their rates are very affordable, and I never had any error or problem with the insurance, the bill or anything like that. I would rate their billing as friendly. I definitely recommend this dental office and all the great people who work in it. After all, I take my family there!

About Front Desk: The front desk staff is wonderful. Aida will find an appointment to accommodate your schedule. She'll remind you the day before, and she'll explain the insurance details to you, and try to help you. She takes care of everything, so I had never had to call my insurance. She makes the whole process seamless for the patient. Aida is very friendlly, and professional at the same time

About Hygienist: My Hygienist is Maria. She does a great job. She's gentle but thorough, and always takes the necessary time to make my teeth look at their best. Maria has many years of experience as a dental hygienist. My impression of her is that she's a professional, and a very kind, honest person

He has excellent chair-side manners, and is very pleasant to deal with. They have a stress free billing process for insured patients, (I can't speak for uninsured patients), and his prices are very reasonable. The front desk will tell you what your expected costs are for more detailed procedures, before they are done. If you have pain or an emergency, he will stay after hours to see you. My only complaint is that it has become a little harder to get appointments for a cleaning these days, because of schedule changes and availability of the hygienist. The dentist used to perform cleanings also, but he no longer does. Also, the location of the practice is so-so, with a technical college and a driving school and DMV taking up a lot of parking spaces - so arrive early.

About Hygienist: The hygienest does an excellent job. She has a tender touch, does not make you feel like you are being drilled to death, nor does she make you feel like you didn't get a cleaning at all. She does a very thorough job, and gives a very good cleaning.

Very nice staff. I appreciated that they explained how much my insurance covered and how much I had to pay for each procedure. Denist is real nice and funny. Hygienist is very educated.

I am increasingly unable to get a hold of anyone in the office; I have called at all hours on weekdays only to be greeted by a message, not even an answering service; I cannot figure out what the (obviously)greatly reduced office hours are. This is unacceptable in an increasingly professional field. Find someone who is still interested in working.
