Read Reviews for Dr. John Kurahara
I got a root canal done as a preventative measure on tooth #31 (molar) on the 23rd, thanks to insurance it cost a mere $300-- the price you pay for "healthy" teeth. Unfortunately, Dr. Kurahara was under the impression that the root canal was completed. While at my visit with a cosmetic dentist to get it capped, I had the unpleasent and awful experience of finding out that there were still roots in my tooth. Now I'm sitting back in his office waiting to "be fit in" to get the procedure which I came for over a week ago to be completed. Other than the obnoxiously young staff making smirks at my irritation, I've never had such a bad experience at a dental institute.

The worst experience possible! I paid over a thousand dollars for a one hour visit that created more pain than when I started.

I went to Kurahara for a root canal, and left with the same pain I had originally - it was excruciating. When i went back a second time out of desperation, I was charged the same ammount as the root canal for a brief exam and was not given an explanation
for the ammount of the bill.
His secretary refused to give the Dr. any messages from me. (Her words.) I had to go to another doc for a second root canal on the same tooth.
He concluded the previous Dr. had missed some roots. (I felt everything by the way.)
I had to get it removed by a third Dr. who knocked
me out and surgically removed
the tooth. This was all very expensive and could have been prevented.
He is still expecting me to pay to thousand something with no explanation.
Kindly come to your own conclusions.
aloha,
T
