While in to have my teeth clean they found a cavity that had corroded and was in danger of falling out. The doctor offered to replace it and I was told it would cost $27. The gal behind the counter told me she had already checked my insurance and it would only cost me $27. I asked, 'If I have it done now, all I will owe is $27.00?' (Exact words) The response was 'That's all. $27.00.’ (Again, exact words). I asked a second time, Are you sure? I was reassured that is all it would cost. We scheduled the appointment. On 11/05/14 I had the filling replaced. I paid the $27 I owed for the visit. A couple weeks later I get a bill for $63. Thinking there was a mistake I stopped in at their office. The lady said the insurance didn't pay. I would have to pay the extra $63. I reminded her of the conversation and she admitted that is what was said, but she didn't realize I had the cavity put in not quite two years ago so the insurance wouldn't pay. I was told what it would cost and had the work done accordingly. I feel it is dishonest to say one thing and not keep your word. BEWARE!
