Most terrifying dental experience of my life so far. Didn't explain what he was doing, unlike all my other previous dentists. I went to him because his "perfect smile dentistry" little website, which websites are somewhat useful in picking places, but not always apparently.
I will never forget it, I told him I had a cavity I'd been waiting to get treated, and he said, so what do you want to do? I was thinking.... your the dentist!.... your supposed to tell *me* what your going to do, and KNOW what to do!! 1st bad gut feeling I ignored.
I'd only ever had air abrasion, but he was going to do the traditional cavity filling, which I didn't realize. He shot me up, hurt a lot, I cried, he laughed me off and said it was no big deal, as did his fantastic assistant. Then they went across the way to treat someone else and left me for a really long time just crying by myself. Nice. I kept wanting to run out of there, but had never just left in the middle of a dr. appt so I felt too odd about it.
He finished it, long story short, kept hurting where he filled it, I couldn't chew on that side for a while. Had to get the cavity re-done by my previous awesome dentist, 2x the price. I was a mm from needing a root canal :(
About Hygienist: Ignored me when I was distressed... left the room, basically very lame.

I've referred my friends and family to Dr. Akel and they, like myself, LOVE going to the dentist, now. Dr. Akel's practice, Perfect Smile Dentistry, runs like a well-oiled machine. No waiting, professionalism at all levels, a "boutique-spa-like" atmosphere, the latest equipment, on-site lab, and so much more. The patient is Number One at Perfect Smile Dentistry.
I've had numerous procedures conducted by Dr. Akel and they've all been pain-free. He has an amazing demeanor that is non-threatening, comforting, charismatic, and is a joy to be around.
I wish all of my health care providers could be like Dr. Akel. In fact, I'm so devoted to Dr. Akel that I drive over an hour to see him, when I have a choice of 50+ dentists in a 5-mile radius.
Did I mention that this is a family-run business, too? Dr Akel, and Perfect Smile Dentistry, have an amazing combination of ingredients resulting in a more than perfect experience.

I was 11 years old when I first wore metal braces on my teeth. They were extremely uncomfortable, embarrassing and hard to keep clean. I wore them for more than 24 months. Several years later, my bottom teeth began to crowd. By the time I was in my 40s, one of my bottom teeth started to crack. When I discovered that Dr. Akel was an Invisalign certified dentist, I could not wait to get started on the program. Not having permanent wire fixtures in my mouth was the perfect solution to my problem. There was absolutely no pain involved and, because the aligners were removable, I was able to eat and brush my teeth without any difficulty. Now, after 9 months, my treatment is complete and my teeth are perfectly straight. The whole experience was so easy. Dr. Akel and his staff are exceptionally friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend Dr. Akel and all of his staff at Perfect Smile Dentistry.

Dr. Akel is the best Dentist that we've seen thus far. He provided my family with competent and caring patient care. Both of his offices are so beautiful that you never feel that you are in a dental office. One of my greatest experiences at Dr. Akels office is having a Root Canal while watching my favorite movie; it was fast and pain free! Dr. Akel's passion for dentistry and patience with his patients made our experience at his office enjoyable and the results were fabulous. Dr. Akel and his staff are great and I would not anywhere else for our dental care. Thanks Dr. Akel and staff for great service to our community.

Cosmetic treatment was excellent and painless. The Invisalign procedure was effective and met all of my expectations and then more.
Dr. Akel is very considerate and has always been effecient in the areas of patient care, comfort and ultimately in the patient needs.
The facility is immaculate and provides a warm feeling to everyone.
