Had tooth extracted from which I contracted blood and bone infections -- went back twice and was tod I had the flu and then a dry socket... Ended up requiring surgery and $23,000 later have a recurring fistula in mouth into my maxillary sinus... Have not been able to work for 7 months from infections and resulting exhaustion and illness... Have since learned that this is not an uncommon outcome from this practce.

This guy has the worst bedside manner, and wont hesitate to cancel the surgery if he there are complications, only use him as a LAST resort. He is plain out a jerk, I had my wisom teeth out and only if its convenient to work with you.

Dr. Whitesides has been an amazing surgeon for more than one procedure for me. The first one went without a hitch, but the second has been a challenge. If it wasn't for Dr. Whitesides I may have lost my mind over the whole process by now. He has been more than caring, understanding and willing to see me through the end. I have seen him almost every other day for 3 months due to post op complications (nothing being his fault) and he has been so understanding and has been wonderful about explaining everything.
He is probably one of the nicest doctors I have had the pleasure to work with, he is funny, nice and most of all treats you like you are his only patient. I couldn't recommed him more if you are looking for a great oral surgeon.

What sets Dr. Whitesides apart from a lot of other dentists is that Dr. Whitesides put the patient's interest first. I was there to get my some teeth extracted for orthodontic purpose. However, after a thorough examination, Dr. Whitesides expressed his concerns about my look after extraction and explained to me. I was dubious at that time. However, three months later, after I went to a bunch of other orthodontists for consultation, it became clear to me that Dr. Whitesides is an Angel who saved my teeth and look.

Excellent work. I was very concerned about having my teeth pulled and he made as pleasant experience as it could be.

Dr. Whitesides is the ONLY oral surgeon I would use to pull my teeth. He's an honest, caring, excellent doctor....who, above all, doesn't hurt. This review is coming from an ortodox coward! His staff is also excellent.
