I'm originally from MN, but went to see Dr. Chong from a friends referral every 6 months for the 2.5 years I was living in Hawaii. The staff are very nice, with my insurance very cheap, and facilities were fine. BUT! I just moved home within the last 8 months to the states and am finishing up school (don't have dental insurance for the first time in my life), but started having some pain in my lower right mouth. I went in to a very well known dentist in our area and he was astounded at the amount of work I needed done. I have had ONE CAVITY my entire life at 26 years old and I had 8! I asked the dentist if they would have been able to discover any of these cavities (5 small, 3 HUGE) at my exam with Dr. Chong. The dentist said, well maybe the 5 smaller, possibly not, but the 3 indefinitely, 100% were there. Long story short, not his fault I had to pay out of pocket expenses, but I do expect him to catch 3 decent sized cavities. My advice, enter his office at your own risk...

I went to Dr Chong to have my silver fillings replaced. In my three visits to have the procedure done. I was treated poorly and did not recieve adequate care. The fillings were rough and poorly finished. He also drilled a hole in one tooth and said when I have more insurance to come back and he will fix it. When i tried to have him smooth out some of his poorly done fillings I was rushed through the office like i was worthless. Upon visiting another dentist i found out he did not remove all the silver in several of my teeth. So I am now left with that problem as well. I would never recomend Dr Ching to anyone.

My family and I have had wonderful service for 7 years and feel like we are treated like royalty, part of his extended family.. But most recently I have taken my mother with alzheimers to Dr Chong. He brightens her day with a hug , smile and even sings to her to calm her anxiety. she is then able to have her teeth checked and cleaned. He is one of our angels and we all have a smile and wonderful teeth thanks to the care he and his staff work to give us.

I personally have had wonderful experiences with Dr. Chong. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for two friends who I have recommended. One had an absess that wasn't taken cared of properly, and the other had front veneers done, which one ended up cracking and coming off. He was very good about fixing the chipped tooth without charge, but having had to go through that was pretty bad.
